Thinking of volunteering? Read what it involves →Specialized burn centres treat severe burn injuries and receive referrals from across their region. If you or a loved one needs care, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department, admission to a burn unit is arranged by physicians.
Listed by province for reference. Most burn units accept patients by physician referral, for appointments or follow-up, use the hospital contact link on each listing. Please confirm current details with the hospital directly, as services can change.
ABA-Verified marks centres verified by the American Burn Association. SOAR marks centres offering SOAR peer support (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery), a program of the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, separate from ABA verification.
Prince Edward Island and the territories (Yukon, Nunavut, Northwest Territories) do not have designated burn units; patients are referred to centres in other provinces.
